The last league game before the Christmas break saw Kilcommon / Rearcross travel to Clarisford Park to take on Lough Derg on Saturday morning. This competitive fixture produced some fine football from both sides with chances created at either end of the field. Lough Derg were the ones to break the deadlock after 19 minutes from a close range effort and the half time break saw just the bear minimum between the sides. Kilcommon / Rearcross started the second half brightly and made every effort to level matters. It was Felim Deegan who eventually scored for the visitors when he got on to the end of a long ball crossed in from the right. The remainder of the game was keenly fought by both sides but it was Lough Derg who took the honours when they scored their second goal just 5 minutes from full time.
